Recommended for its bleak take on globalization, energy and food supply, though some commenters question how objective it is.
Peter Zeihan speaks at Iowa Swine Day 2022 on geopolitics, the end of globalization and agriculture. He argues that supply chains, energy and farm inputs are all about to be disrupted.
“The audio is a little rough, but it's worth the watch (in my opinion).” (HN, 2022)
Someone else posted this a few weeks ago, but it truly blew my mind. Watch a few minutes of this, starting from the given timestamp: [this video] Europe is in more trouble than I imagined.
Zeihan talk on Europe's energy and agriculture trouble
My (recent) introduction to Zeihan was this talk he gave to pig farmers. [this video] The audio is a little rough, but it's worth the watch (in my opinion). Yeah, he comes across as a bit forward and a bit nationalistic, and clearly not every prediction is going to land, but I think he's got some really good observations and seems fairly credible. Better at least than most of the talking-heads you see on the news.

Could this be to vent gas to keep Russian pipelines from bursting during the winter due to a lack of flow from the sanctions? I’ve only recently heard about this phenomenon from a talk with Peter Zeihan[1], but have been unable to find more information about oil pipelines freezing and bursting. Time stamped to where he brings it up: [1] [this video]
