Cited as a joke or mild criticism of institutional safety culture at Los Alamos.
A short Los Alamos National Laboratory safety video on how to use stairs, including handrail advice in a music-video style. It was posted as an example of government spending.
Incredibly irresponsible, and exceedingly hypocritical. Before you can start work, Los Alamos National Labs requires an inordinate amount of safety training. Despite two weeks of videos like this [1], managers think it's ok to make their reports risk the fate of Slotin. [1] [this video]
Luckily there's a fix for that too. Behold, Los Alamos National Lab's infamous music video to encourage people to use handrails when they're on the stairs: [this video]
Unfortunately, Los Alamos National Lab has been setting its sights a little lower these days: "How to use the stairs" [this video] Nothing a little federal cash can't fix, though: "The Los Alamos National Laboratory Slip Simulator Experience" [link]
