Recommended as a funny but serious critique of the show's portrayal of authority and policing.
A long video essay by Skip Intro asking what vision of policing the kids' show PAW Patrol suggests. It mixes comedy with serious critique and features guest voices.
“It’s a superb video essay and absolutely worth the watch!” (HN, 2022)
I think you will enjoy this video breakdown from Skip Intro: [this video] It’s a superb video essay and absolutely worth the watch! But to be clear, it’s also playing into the meme that paw patrol is copaganda, so take it as a mix of comedy and serious analysis :) The gist of the video is that, while paw patrol is not copaganda, it is problematic for parallel reasons. It’s also a terrible tv show as you noted.
Comedic yet serious video essay on Paw Patrol's problematic portrayals.
Paw Patrol is so shit, I had to study it in my undergrad forensic psychology course: [link] And if you can’t be bothered reading an academic journal about it, this YouTube video really emphasises the issues quite well: [this video]
