HN points to it as a clear, approachable explanation of quantum entanglement.
PBS Space Time explains the Bohr-Einstein debate over quantum mechanics and how quantum entanglement settled it. It covers the weirdness of measurement and nonlocal correlations.
“there is a great video by the PBS space time channel explaining quantum entanglement” (HN, 2016)
For anyone interested, there is a great video by the PBS space time channel explaining quantum entanglement here [this video] The thing is, although the quantum state of the photom collapses instantaneously on both entangled photons, we can't manipulate at which state the photon will collapse, and so, we can't really send information using quantum entanglement. We can't also confirm the entanglement until we can compare both measurement results or else we could send information from the future as in the quantum eraser experiment [link] Edit: formatting and typos
Some good related learnings: The Concept of Mass - with Jim Baggott (just watched this yesterday and it's reeeaalllyy good although basic): [link] Quantum Entanglement and the Great Bohr-Einstein Debate | Space Time: [this video] Measure for Measure: Quantum Physics and Reality (kinda old but still good): [link] Would recommend this order.
Its... weirder than that. The issue is that the measurement of the particle changes it - and changes the entangled particle. PBS Space Time - Quantum Entanglement and the Great Bohr-Einstein Debate [this video] (and then watch the referenced Veritasium video)
Explains the weirdness of measurement and entanglement.
Aside: Einstein (et. al.) wrote such a post (or a series of papers) as part of the Bohr–Einstein debates. Einstein was later proven to be wrong. [this video]
