HN commenters cite it as a hands-on example of hot reloading and live coding in C.
A long Tsoding Daily programming stream in which he implements hot code reloading in C by loading a dynamic library at runtime without stopping the main program. It also touches on migrating struct versions across reloads.
“he hot reloads a dynamic library without interrupting the main program, to test different functionality.” (HN, 2025)
For anyone interested in this: Tsoding (Twitch and YouTube streamer of "recreational programming") demonstrates this in one of his projects, where he hot reloads a dynamic library without interrupting the main program, to test different functionality. [this video]
Tsoding hot reloads a dynamic library without interrupting the main program.
There is a tsoding daily video with hot code reloading in C [0]. He dicusses techniques for this. one of which is a "migration" approach, similar to database migrations. Where, for example, you have a version number in your struct. and a function for migrating from an old version to a new version. I don't think he implements it in that video though. [0] [this video]
Tsoding discusses hot reloading techniques including migration of struct versions.
Tsoding made a video about hot code reloading in C ( [this video] ) and also used the same concept in "My Own 3b1b Animation Engine but in C" ( [link] ).
