HN commenters point to it as an accessible interview with a leading figure in the field, especially for toxo and baboon social behavior.
Joe Rogan interviews Stanford neuroendocrinologist Robert Sapolsky about his book Behave. They discuss the biology of human behavior, including toxoplasmosis and risk-taking, and baboon troop dynamics.
“Listen to this interview with Robert Sapolsky. Somewhat of a superstar in this field” (HN, 2017)
Apparently so. I watch Joe Rogans interview with Robert Sapolsky which I might add was fascinating and he spoke about this at length and how people with toxo are more likely to take risks and or live dangerously. [this video]
I've seen him on JRE ( [this video] ). I liked his observations on the baboon troupe and how changing group makeup led to a change of dynamics and the establishment of a more cooperative equilibrium.
