HN commenters recommend it as an inspiring story about perseverance and getting outside one's comfort zone.
Joe Rogan interviews David Goggins, a retired Navy SEAL and ultramarathon runner, about his path from overweight to elite endurance athlete and pushing beyond comfort zones.
That's a high quality comment. If you're interested / amazed by that kind of stuff, do yourself a favor ; Joe Rogan Experience #1080 - David Goggins [this video] Perhaps the ultimate iteration of "Kevin who was not naturally good at anything except perseverance. He worked his ass off all the time." This is "the toughest man on earth" ... legit. Highly inspirational story.
Highly inspirational story of perseverance from the toughest man on earth.
A cliché. Getting outside your comfort zone. David Goggins goes into this in detail [this video] Essentially what ever you are afraid of you should probably doing it.
Goggins discusses getting outside your comfort zone in detail.
Don't you think there's too much thinking involved in an article about not thinking? I just watched Joe Rogan's interview of David Goggins[1], and he lives the essence of what this article is trying to express. I think his perspective is far more succinct and sharper, its sort of an anti-motivation motivation. Its definitely worth a watch if anyone is interested. [1] [this video]
Goggins as an anti-motivation motivation, sharper than the article.
The article may have some strangely worded parts but he seems to be an incredibly strong willed and determined person going from a fat slob gulping down milkshakes (paraphrasing his words) to a seal and an ultra runner. He was on Joe Rogan at least twice: [this video] [link]
